I wanted to confirm that Charlie DeWalt has been terminated from his position, effective immediately. I have already spoken to both of you by phone, but I'm following up in writing to ensure a formal record of the situation.
HR:
Please proceed with processing Charlie's severance package as discussed. As I mentioned, we're providing a comprehensive settlement, including a generous severance payment and extended benefits, contingent upon his agreement to the standard confidentiality and non-compete clauses. Let me know if you need any additional approvals from me to expedite this.
Security:
I would like you to oversee Charlie's exit from the premises personally. Please ensure that his access to company systems, emails, and facilities is revoked immediately. As an extra precaution, I'd like his company laptop, phone, and any other equipment collected and sent to IT to be reviewed for any proprietary or sensitive material. You may return it to his office when done.
While I don't anticipate any overt issues, I am mindful of his recent behavior. Please monitor for any signs of attempts to extract trade secrets, client data, or other sensitive information. Ensure the handover is handled professionally but firmly.
